Changes to my study program

Talking about my career is complex and will remain so for a long time. First of all, it is an artistic career and as such there is content that is not seen at school. So, when entering a career as composition, people enter without knowing much about music and that is why in this faculty there is a program called "estapa básica" where knowledge is leveled in 3 years. Then, passing that stage, people enter the "estapa superior" which lasts 4 years. In the end our career lasts 7 years, it is very long, but in the end we end up with a lot of knowledge that validates us on a professional level. Now, the mesh is always in the process of modification and technologically it is very backwards. Personally, I am very attracted to electroacoustics and multimedia art, I would like to work more in a "laboratory" experimenting and trying things, but this career does not offer the possibility of that, it is very old and I must acquire that knowledge with online courses or by searching information on the internet, but this career does not offer what is necessary for the development of this area. Many teachers are old (really old) and at this point in life they should no longer be teaching for two reasons: The first is age (they should be resting without working, enjoying the last years of their lives) and on the other hand, at being old teachers they don't know about technology. In short, profound changes should be made such as renovation of the teaching staff, infrastructure improvements, state recognition as a career that cannot be evaluated quantitatively and of course dignification of the profession.

Anyway these things will not be possible because there is really no intention to change things in this university, because even though it is called "Universidad de Chile" and has the category of "State University", in reality this university is insufficient for the quality you are looking for at the end of your studies.
